{"id":748,"date":"2021-10-22T12:55:31","date_gmt":"2021-10-22T10:55:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nabiax.com\/?p=748"},"modified":"2021-11-17T12:39:51","modified_gmt":"2021-11-17T11:39:51","slug":"nabiax-leads-the-spanish-data-center-market-after-acquiring-three-new-infrastructures","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nabiax.com\/en\/nabiax-leads-the-spanish-data-center-market-after-acquiring-three-new-infrastructures\/","title":{"rendered":"Nabiax leads the Spanish Data Center market after acquiring three new infrastructures"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li>After the acquisition, the company has a total capacity of 26 MW IT Power in Spain<\/li>\n<li>Telef\u00f3nica INFRA becomes a shareholder in Nabiax<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Nabiax leads the Spanish Data Center Market after acquiring 6 MW IT Power, divided in three infrastructures: two in Madrid (completing Juli\u00e1n Camarillo Data Center campus with modules 1 and 2) and another in Terrassa.<\/p>\n<p>Thus, the company owned by Asterion Industrial Partners and participated by Telef\u00f3nica INFRA after this acquisition, has a relevant increase in its total IT Power capacity, which can overcome 120 MW only in Spain.<\/p>\n<h2>Nabiax&#8217;s expansion in 2021<\/h2>\n<p>This acquisition is part of the company\u2019s strategic plan, which, after two successful years of operation, will finish the first expansion in Alcal\u00e1 Data Center Campus, reaching 100 MW of IT Power in the medium term. At the same time, the company started a 2 MW growth in Juli\u00e1n Camarillo Data Center campus (module 3); another of 1 MW in Paine Data Center (Chile). Nabiax is also starting the process for a 2 MW expansion in Brazil, adding to the 7 MW already built. In all, this means a 67% growth in the total IT Power since Nabiax\u2019s start of operations in July 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Emilio D\u00edaz, CEO at Nabiax, explained: \u201cThis transaction is important for two reasons: first, to have a partner of the relevance of Telef\u00f3nica as a shareholder, which allows us to strengthen our relationship as partners in an environment of transformation challenges worldwide, such as Edge computing. Second, it consolidates us as the leader in the Spanish market, in which we will have very relevant growth in the upcoming years\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding Latin America, where Nabiax will acquire two new Data Centers in Chile \u2013 subject to closing the operation at the start of 2022 \u2013 Nabiax positions itself as a top of the class player in the region, having an 11-infrastructure network which provide services to some of the most relevant Cloud providers in the world.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe new capacity acquired, and the investment committed towards the future assure the development of advanced Data Center infrastructures, which are a key element for the economic recovery in all the activities related to digital transformation.
