Nabiax, the company which offers Colocation services in Spain, Latin America, and USA, has opened the doors of Alcalá Data Center to the collaborating banking entities, to show them the operative excellence displayed in the infrastructure and deepen in the knowledge regarding the nature of the Colocation business. This Data Center is the biggest in Spain, having 8 MW of IT Power today, plus another 8 MW under construction. It will grow up to 100 MW when the 5 phases are built, and the expansion of the campus is complete.
The visit started with a presentation held by Nabiax’s top management members: Emilio Díaz, CEO of the company, Eduardo Gómez-Leal, CCO, Guillermo Benito, CTO, and Iván Paja, CFO. During this conference, the executives explained the relevance of the Data Center industry as the necessary critical infrastructure towards developing the digital economy, Nabiax’s leadership position in the Spanish market, and Madrid’s privileged position to become the main Digital Hub in Southern Europe.
Later, Nabiax carried out a visit through the Data Center, showing the excellent operative procedures adopted by Nabiax, guaranteed by TCOS IV Gold Operational Sustainability certification, as well as the rest of elements that make Alcalá Data Center an international reference regarding redundancy and resilience.
Same, Nabiax showed the progress of ADC2 construction, the new Data Center being built, which will be home for top of the class hyperscalers, and a reference for Cloud Service Providers in Spain.
The event concluded with a catering held by Asociación Norte Joven, which, through this activity favors the practical education for young workers in risk of social exclusion. This education is related to hostelry and seeks to improve their chance to find jobs and their integration. This is one of the main goals in Nabiax’s ESG plan, which has a strong commitment towards supporting the communities nearby the business.
