Nabiax, the leading company in Colocation services in Spain, recently renewed its Tier IV Gold Operational Sustainability in Alcalá Data Center (Spain), granted by Uptime Institute, for complying to the maximum standards of sustainable operation.
This certification reflects the top quality in the operation of the mission critical infrastructure. This guarantees a maximum service quality and availability for the clients hosted there. TCOS Gold (Tier Certification Operational Sustainability) is the highest level granted by Uptime Institute, which identifies and evaluates the risks and subjacent behavior of a Data Center; especially those not related to design and building of the infrastructure, but that can a significant impact in the service availability in the long term.
César Merino, Data Center Manager in Spain at Nabiax, stated: “Renewing this certification reflects the great job made by our team in Alcalá Data Center. To achieve it, we have worked to maintain the optimal operative models, policies, and management programs demanded by Uptime Institute, besides executing every update needed in the infrastructure. All this has been executed to meet the TCOS requirements and keep our commitment towards offering the best service quality to our clients”.
Moreover, César Merino highlighted the relevance of this milestone in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic: “In terms of Data Center operations this past year has been extremely demanding. It is true that the industry has been acknowledged for its necessary role worldwide, but also, we have been put under a greater pressure. Because of this, renewing this certification shows the operations team’s effort to meet the needs of our clients”.
Today, only 2 Data Centers in Spain have this certification besides Alcalá Data Center.
