Nabiax, the leading company in the data center industry in Spain, has contracted 10 MW of new IT capacity with two hyperscalers at its data center campuses in Alcalá de Henares and Julián Camarillo. In this way, the company continues to consolidate its position as the largest colocation company in Spain, adding 36 MW of installed IT power (more than 50 MW of total power).
The company will invest 47 million euros to complete this new capacity expansion. From the design phase, Nabiax has focused on achieving environmentally sustainable growth, installing the latest technology available, in order to improve the energy efficiency ratios of its Data Centers.
With this operation, Nabiax is able to ensure full occupancy of the capacity built on its Alcalá de Henares and Julián Camarillo campuses, which means an estimated growth in turnover of around 30%, and an improvement in profitability supported by the synergies generated at the operational level.
In this way, Nabiax continues to be the reference for hyperscalers in Spain, where it has captured more than 40% of Colocation’s current demand for cloud nodes in the country.
In the words of Emilio Diaz, CEO of Nabiax, “we continue to provide quality service to all our customers and continue to expand our operations to consolidate our leading position in data centers nationwide, and our role as the partner of choice for Hyperscalers in Spain” and emphasizes that “our goal is to be the first to reach 100 MW of installed IT power in the coming years”.
The Campus Alcalá Data Center is not only one of the largest on the continent in terms of capacity, but also one of the most advanced in terms of technology and facilities. The first phase of the complex is Tier IV certified, this being the highest level available, both in terms of design and construction, as well as Sustainable Operation.
In addition, with these works, the company will complete the total capacity expansion of the second phase of this complex, with which Nabiax reinforces its position as the largest Colocation company in the country with 22,000 m2 dedicated to IT rooms.
In the medium term, this data center campus will reach 100 MW of IT power (135 MW total), being the reference for hyperscalers in Spain, with a success based on the quality of the infrastructure and service offered, the latest technology on the market and a fast deployment speed.
